The course runs for approximately 1.2km on a tight, exciting circuit around Salford Quays. The route runs around the Lowry, along the canal in front of the Manchester United football Stadium and through the pedestrian areas of the Salford Quays complex.
The course is very technical with some tight corners and narrow sections but also has some long straights to allow riders to build up to maximum speed. The tree lined quay side straight will provide a dramatic mid section of the course as riders drop under the Quays bridge and past the hospitality area at high speed.
The start / finish area is locatd in front of the Lowry through the main piaza. The area will be packed with attractions and entertainment including:
- Big screen showing all the race action
- Rollapuluza Roller Race stage
- Beer tent and wine bar
- Food stalls and other exhibitors
